Sunday, the 11th of January, our Parish School celebrated their annual YOLKA. The parish hall was beautifully decorated with winter flowers and garlands. The annual Yolka was splendidly organized by the teachers and the parents of the parish school who toiled numerous days and hours making it a success. The Christmas celebration started with the lit Christmas tree and carols, sung by the mixed church and school choir. It was followed by two hours of performances, which held the undivided attention of the large gathering who enjoyed the performance of a Christmas play, dances and songs.
Smiles and sympathetic tears were the order of the day. The day was concluded with a nice dinner and the arrival of "Ded Moroz", distributing gifts to the throngs of youngsters. A large display of gifts was raffled off for the benefit of the school. Truly, this was one of the most successful festivities of the Christmas holiday.
Sincere gratitude to all the toilers and participants for a memorable Nativity festival!
