Cathedral Frescoes & Duct Cleaning – Update!

With God’s help, Fr. Dimitry and a group of dedicated volunteers have made terrific progress on the cleaning of the cathedral frescoes. Completed areas include the nave and both wings of the church, the right and left kliroses, the confessional, the choir loft, and the baptistry. As well, this past Tuesday, all of the air ducts were blown clean by a professional company. Still to be done are the narthex (candle counter area), iconostasis, Holy Altar, and the dome of the cupola.

Additionally, we must thoroughly clean and paint several areas: restrooms, hallways, exterior doors and railings. The facade of the parish hall, in particular the large icon of St. Alexander above the doors, must also be cleaned, as well as repairing and painting the Tikhvin Church front and side steps.

Air Conditioner Vents Cleaning

All the air conditioning vents in the cathedral and trapeza area were cleaned. There was so much soot and dirt after over 30 years. But they’re all clean now. Thank you for your support!
